This past weekend I attended the final day of Stitches SoCal in Pasadena. It was so exciting and fun. Stitches is an event where shops gather to share new products and give consumers a chance to learn about them and meet the owners. It wasn’t just limited to knitting or crocheting either, there was also felting and sewing along with bags and purses (designed for knitting/crocheting).
There were many stores there that I had never heard of and so it was interesting to meet them and see their products. Some of the most beautiful yarn I have ever seen was there and talking to the owners meant that some shared how they dyed it to get those colors.
Some of the stores there were from Texas and Arizona, but most were from California. Some of the store names I remember are Jimmy Beans wool, Cuppa Yarn, Pawley Studios, Forbidden Fiber Co., and 2 Guys Yarn Company.
This is an annual event, and I can’t wait to see who and what stores will attend next year.
